Welcome to Board Fab 101!

The purpose of this site is to give you an overview of what I did to build my board. I may not have necessarily done everything perfect or for that matter the right way, however my board works and I'm happy. So I decided to share what I know about building a surfboard so that others may get into surfing, even if the boards for sale in their area arn't what they are looking for.

Bill Of Material for one home built surfboard:

• Foam Blank
• Fiberglass cloth
• Polyester surfboard resin
• MEKP catylist for the resin
• One or more fins ( plus a fin box if you are going that route )
• Leash plug
• Surfboard leash

Other things you'll need:

• A GOOD resperator
• Mixing buckets for the resin
• A measuring device for the MEKP
• Filler for the resin used on the leash plug
• Rubber gloves
• Some sort of a stand to put the board on while working
