Good work Split crew!

  • 9/13/06: WNATR Summer #1 make-up race: First place, not a bad way to end the season!
  • 9/6/06: WNATR Fall #4: Split Number One!
  • 8/30/06: WNATR Fall #3: Chris drives and the Split still takes 1st!
  • 8/23/06: WNATR Fall #2: 3rd place, on the wrong side of the course and not too good in the light wind...
  • 8/05/06: FYC Regatta: The Split gets 2nd in class and 2nd overall, not too bad for a boat full of fools dressed up like pirates...
  • 7/12/06: WNATR Summer #4: The Split takes First, by 1 second! Thank you Race Committee.
  • 7/05/06: WNATR Summer #3: The Split takes third, can't win 'em all...
  • 6/28/06: WNATR Summer #2: The Split took 2nd, by 24 seconds, even after hooking shrouds with another boat (while dropping off committee boat gear) and losing the wind instruments, hooking and tearing the spinnaker during a hoist, and hitting a mark and taking the penalty...
  • 6/24/06: Lighthouse Challenge, no wind, 8 hours to Middle Sister, the Split quit.
  • 6/21/06: WNATR Summer #1: Cancelled, tornados and 2 inch hail...
  • 6/14/06: WNATR Spring #4, the Split takes First! with just three people sailing the boat!
  • 5/31/06: WNATR Spring #3, no wind, lots of wind, then no wind again, nobody finished. We were in first place when time ran out though...
  • 5/28/06: The Split took 3rd GIYC Day Race, weird wind is our excuse.
  • 5/24/06: WNATR Spring #2 had light wind and strange shifts, the Split takes first in class and second overall!
  • 5/22/05: Split Practice #1 went good on Saturday, even if the "fish isn't going to work" at the clubhouse. And we've gotten the crew lined up for the Day Race.
  • 5/18/05: WNATR Spring #1 was interesting, not the best race we've had..

Here's the deal:

To win Boat of The Year, the Split must do well in 7 or 8 races that count for it. Most of them are weekend races on Saturdays. So, to get a good crew together we're letting everyone know what the schedule is for the races, and we'll be having a couple practice nights. As an incentive to show up for the races, there is booty involved: limited edition Split racing shirts, jackets, and a party at the end of the year! See below for more details.

The last time the Split won BOTY was in 1981. Do you remember 1981? I don't, so its time to return the Split to its former GLORY!!!
